I’m a socially-engaged sound artist, creative producer and community organiser developing stories and programmes that create meaningful exchange between artists, young people, audiences, community and place.

My social practice focuses on amplifying voices through creative audio and takes a variety of forms across live radio, exhibition audio trails, interactive installation, immersive sound walks and participatory interventions.

I currently freelance with the Creative Learning team at Alexandra Palace, a programme that engages more than 10,000 people every year through a wide range of projects, exhibitions and workshops that explore creativity and heritage while building skills and supporting wellbeing. The Creative Learning team is homebase to the Palace’s Young Creatives Network, a free programme helping people aged 16-28 to find pathways into creative careers offering projects, workshops and events that help build skills and tangible capital for their CV’s while leading on placemaking and cultural change in their local area and beyond.

I hold an MA in Narrative Environments from Central Saint Martins and a BA (Hons) in Psychology from McGill University.

Much of my work focuses on amplifying youth voice - through audio works that are broadcast and shared with policy makers and decision-makers in the public realm. In 2024, I was awarded DYCP Arts Council England funding to design and deliver an educational model for young people to learn DIY sound & radio skills. The model advocates accessibility, inclusion and co-creation and is designed so that no previous experience is required to take part. It offers participants continuity through an extended 8-session format, with each consecutive session building upon the last, culminating in a live broadcast produced by the young people themselves with content they choose. The project came to life through a Radio Broadcasting Course for Ally Pally’s Young Creatives Network with a live broadcast from Bruce Castle Museum. They programmed live music, spoken word and interviewed local council members and policy makers who were keen to get their views on the borough’s future.

From 2023-2024 I worked closely with the directors at The People Speak, an interactive art collective based in East London. We worked regularly with Newham Council’s Youth Empowerment Service to amplify youth voice in various ways through formats such as Talkaoke. We co-produced their quarterly Youth Assembly, with creative decisions for programming made alongside youth ambassadors. We produced representations of our work at these events through film and vox pops, capturing young people’s thoughts on issues that mattered to them. These films were shared with council members and local decision-makers thereafter.

From 2022-2023, as part of my work with University of the Arts London I served as project manager for British Council-funded Zero: Numeracy Narratives for Urban Resilience for COP27, Egypt. The show explored climate mitigation and decarbonisation through numeracy and was hosted from both Cairo and London, and broadcast in Arabic, English, and Spanish. The show launched a new channel at Ain Shams University Cairo, sharing the tools of dialogue, listening, and radio technologies with local students and youth. While at University of the Arts London I also collaborated with the CSM Changemaker Programme, the AKO Storytelling Institute and the Climate Emergency Network.

In 2022, my MA thesis and public sound installation Platform 10 exhibited at Jane’s Walk London, an annual festival of community-led walks inspired by urban activist Jane Jacobs. In 2021, I co-founded Spatial Radio, a learning platform for cultural programming, production, radio tech, public interaction, communications and spatial design. Over the years I have since programmed several live and pre-recorded shows of varying lengths, including a 24-hour marathon broadcast and a 12-week radio series.

I also lead on the launch of a community radio station at Alexandra Palace. The station called AP Sounds, broadcasts from different locations across Haringey, is co-produced with young people and invites locals to share stories about their communities - past, present and future. Once aired, the radio shows from AP Sounds become podcasts used to support Alexandra Palace’s future funding and advocacy work.

From 2014-2023, I worked for global media agency Spafax, developing and eventually directing their communications and trade show presence. As the central point of contact for communications across 12 global offices, I worked collaboratively with marketing, business development and design teams to deliver interactive product displays showcased at international trade shows where I also represented Spafax as a leading digital agency within the travel, entertainment and technology sectors. In this role I provided strategic, creative and logistical leadership for over a dozen B2B events, regularly working with £200K production budgets while liaising on stand build, design, transportation, on-site installation, health & safety, and de-installation. I delivered a multi-channel communications strategy including thought leadership newsletters, press releases, speaking opportunities, media outreach and award applications.
